SIMGE SOBA 10-Year Limited Warranty

1. Warranty Coverage

Every SIMGE SOBA wood-burning cooker is covered by a 10-Year Limited Warranty from the original date of purchase.

This warranty covers defects in materials, workmanship and structural integrity arising under normal household use and proper operation.

This warranty is provided in addition to any rights granted under applicable consumer protection laws.

2. Conditions of Validity

This warranty is valid only if:

  • The appliance has been installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and local regulations.
  • The appliance is used solely for its intended purpose.
  • Only approved fuels are used.
  • Firewood with a moisture content not exceeding 20% is used.
  • The chimney and flue system are correctly installed and maintained.
  • The appliance is regularly cleaned and maintained.
  • Wear parts are inspected and replaced when necessary.
  • No unauthorized modifications, repairs or alterations have been carried out.
  • Proof of purchase can be provided upon request.

3. Wear Parts Excluded from Warranty

The following components are considered consumable wear parts and are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Door seals and gaskets
  • Glass seals and gaskets
  • Ceramic glass
  • Firebricks
  • Vermiculite panels
  • Grates and grate bars
  • Baffle plates and flame deflectors
  • Ash grates
  • Thermometers
  • Handles and handle springs
  • Paint finish and surface coatings
  • Decorative trims
  • Fasteners, screws and springs
  • Any component subject to normal wear and tear

Wear, discoloration, deformation, cracking or replacement of these components is considered normal maintenance and is not covered under warranty.

4. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Over-firing or overheating
  • Use of unsuitable fuels
  • Improper installation
  • Incorrect operation
  • Excessive or insufficient chimney draft
  • Corrosion
  • Condensation-related damage
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Mechanical damage
  • Neglect or misuse
  • Accidents, flooding, fire, lightning or natural disasters
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications

5. Damage Caused by Worn Parts

Damage resulting from the failure to replace worn or damaged wear parts is not covered under warranty.

Any secondary damage caused by worn consumable components shall also be excluded from warranty coverage.

6. Warranty Remedy

If a valid warranty claim is approved, CEPLIS V.S. may, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the defective product;
  • Repair the defective component;
  • Replace the defective component;
  • Supply an equivalent replacement component;
  • Replace the product with an equivalent model;
  • Provide another reasonable remedy.

The method of warranty fulfilment shall be determined solely by CEPLIS V.S.

7. Product Age and Depreciation

For claims submitted after the fifth year of ownership, CEPLIS V.S. may take into account the age, condition, usage level and depreciation of the appliance when determining the appropriate warranty remedy.

This warranty does not guarantee replacement with a new appliance.

8. Spare Parts Availability

Where original spare parts are no longer available, CEPLIS V.S. reserves the right to supply equivalent replacement parts or alternative technical solutions.

9. Costs Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Transportation costs
  • Shipping costs
  • Collection or delivery charges
  • Installation costs
  • Removal or reinstallation costs
  • Chimney or flue system costs
  • Loss of use
  • Loss of income
  • Consequential or indirect damages

10. Limitation of Liability

The maximum liability of CEPLIS V.S. under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product.

11. Household Use Only

This warranty applies exclusively to products used in private residential settings.

Commercial premises, restaurants, guest houses, holiday rentals, workshops, agricultural buildings, industrial premises and other high-use environments are excluded unless agreed otherwise in writing.

12. Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
