1. Statutory Consumer Rights

SIA “CEPLIS V.S.” is liable for the conformity of the goods with the contract in accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia and applicable EU legislation.
This warranty constitutes a commercial (additional) warranty and does not limit or affect the consumer’s statutory rights.

2. Commercial Warranty Period

In addition to the statutory rights, SIA “CEPLIS V.S.” grants a commercial warranty:

• to natural persons (consumers) – up to 60 months;

• to legal entities – up to 12 months.

The warranty period starts from the date of purchase. Repairs or replacement of parts under warranty do not extend the original warranty period.

3. Performance of Warranty Obligations

If a manufacturing defect is identified during the warranty period, SIA “CEPLIS V.S.”, at its sole discretion:

• repairs the defect free of charge, or

• replaces the defective part, or

• replaces the product, if repair is technically or economically unreasonable.

All replaced parts become the property of SIA “CEPLIS V.S.”.

4. Conditions for the Application of the Warranty

The commercial warranty is valid only if all of the following conditions are met:

• the product has been installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia;

• installation has been carried out by a certified specialist or a company registered in the Construction Merchants Register of the Republic of Latvia;

• all chimney, ventilation and safety requirements set out in legislation and the manufacturer’s instructions are complied with;

• the product is used for its intended purpose and maintained regularly;

• no unauthorized modifications or repairs have been made.

5. Cases Where the Commercial Warranty Does Not Apply

The commercial warranty does not apply to defects or damage resulting from:

• improper installation or incorrect connection;

• use of unsuitable or low-quality fuel, water or power supply;

• failure to follow the operating instructions;

• overfiring, insufficient ventilation or breach of fire safety regulations;

• mechanical damage, natural wear and tear, or contamination;

• repairs or modifications carried out by unauthorized persons;

• external factors (fire, natural disasters, lightning, power surges, etc.).

The commercial warranty does not apply to parts subject to natural wear, including but not limited to:
seals, glass components, fireclay bricks, combustion chamber elements, surface coatings and decorative parts, unless the defect is caused by a manufacturing fault.

6. Service and Territory

Warranty service is provided within the territory of the Republic of Latvia for products purchased from SIA “CEPLIS V.S.” retail stores or online shop.
Transportation of the product to the warranty service centre shall be arranged by the customer, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

7. Installation Works

SIA “CEPLIS V.S.” is not responsible for the quality of installation works or damage caused thereby if installation has been performed by third parties.
The installation service provider is solely responsible for the quality of installation services rendered.
This clause does not limit the consumer’s rights to submit claims regarding manufacturing defects of the product.

8. Limitation of Liability

SIA “CEPLIS V.S.” shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages to the extent permitted by applicable law.
In all cases, SIA “CEPLIS V.S.” liability shall be determined in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia.
